During 2006, Delek Capital acquired the controlling stake of Phoenix Holdings Ltd., one of Israel's largest and most prominent insurance groups.

In December 2006, Delek Capital acquired all of the outstanding shares of the American insurance company, Republic Group Inc. (“Republic”). Republic, through a group of insurance companies and related entities provides personal and commercial property and casualty insurance products through a network of independent agents primarily in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and other surrounding states.
